Grant Taylor

Grant has been involved in the Film and Television industry for almost 30 years. Photography was where the passion for composition and light started his journey, but it wasn’t until a friend invited him onto the Channel 9 set of MTV that the focus changed to the “moving image”.

Fast forward a few years and the journey saw Grant studying a 4 year Diploma course at North Sydney Technical College whilst working in the audio studios of Colorfilm in Camperdown NSW and several short courses at AFTRS. From there Grant went on to producing education media for Universities and medical institutions.

In 2004 Grant moved to Bathurst with his wife and commenced working for the local Channel 10 broadcaster, Southern Cross Austereo, which has now rebranded as Channel 9. In this time Grant found himself deployed on a variety of different jobs. Filming for a state based a Current Affairs television program, events such as “A Day on the Green” and The Beach Boys tour in the Central West.

But the majority of the time, Grant’s main focus was working with business all over the Central West helping them craft their marketing messages by exploring unique concepts, writing, filming and editing their television commercials.

At last count, Grant had written in excess of 3000 commercials in his 16 years. Many of which have been seen on Prime7, Win TV, Channel 10, NBN Network and Channel 9. If all of his commercials were played back to back it would take 13 hours to watch them all.

In February 2020 Grant set up GT Digital Productions to continue to serve not only his existing clients but also develop new relationships with other clients in the region that needed some practical and cost effective assistance with marketing their business.

Grant’s journey continues with always trying to find new ways to tell the story and find creative ways to engage an audience.
